Partnerships From The 1040 View Point

Many taxpayers are limited partners in partnerships or general partners in small businesses they start with colleagues. The flow through information from a partnership is much more than just the income listed in box 1 of the K-1. This class will discuss the increased burdens on the partner including the tracking of basis, understanding QBID information on the K-1, when the partner requires K-2 and K-3 from the partnership, and more.
Attendees will receive 2 IRS CE credits for attending this course. You will be required to answer poll questions in order to receive credit. If you do not answer the sufficient amount of questions, you will NOT receive credit.

About Our Speaker
As a former senior manager, with a “big six” public accounting firm, Darryl Brown has a vast array of experience in the area of federal taxation of individuals, small businesses including partnerships and S corporations as well as large public companies (C corporations). As a former college professor, he also has an extensive background teaching, writing, and researching issues pertaining to the same areas of federal tax law including financial reporting and accounting for income taxes.
