An enrolled agent (EA) has demonstrated technical competence in the field of taxation to the IRS and is a tax professional. Enrolled agents are licensed by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent any taxpayer (individuals, businesses, corporations, and estates) before the internal revenue service.
The Massachusetts Society of Enrolled Agents (MaSEA) is an organization whose principal concern is the honest, intelligent and ethical representation of the financial position of taxpayers before governmental agencies. Members of MaSEA are also members of the National Association of Enrolled Agents.
