John has over thirty years of tax preparation experience. He also has experience with Fortune 100 corporate and international tax software design and application development. Most recently he verifies tax software compliance and has become a subject matter expert for a do-it-yourself retail software product. He just founded a fresh idea venture of an experienced tax professional consortium to serve the Medford area. He prepares individual, small business and non-profit tax returns. He is an enrolled agent and officer of MASEA. John seeks to become a NPTI fellow.
Wayne E. Cook, EA -First Vice President [ Details ]
Wayne began his tax career on a part-time basis in 1986 during his full-time career in international banking in Boston. Wayne left corporate banking in 2002 to expand his tax business full-time, becoming an EA in 2003 and is a Fellow of the National Tax Practice Institute, a member of NAEA & MaSEA, as well as the National Association of Tax Professionals. Wayne focuses his practice on tax preparation for individuals and small corporations and representation work. Wayne volunteers as a teaching assistant with the Bentley University Low Income Tax Clinic. Wayne also holds a Series 7 Securities License as an Independent Registered Investment Advisor with INVEST Financial Corporation
Dale Lewis, MBA, CFA, CFP, EA – Second Vice President : [ Details ]
Dale Lewis prepares tax returns and advises on taxes for individuals and corporations for H&R Block. Prior to becoming an Enrolled Agent, she was a Senior Manager for Corporate Market Strategy at Lucent Technologies. She began her career as Technical Librarian at Bell Laboratories in Murray Hill, NJ. Along the way she earned an MBA from Boston University and a Financial Analyst Charter from CFA Institute. She is a Fellow of the National Tax Practice Institute, and a member of NATP, NSTP, FPA, CFA Institute and Boston Securities Analysts. She enjoys teaching advanced tax courses, representing taxpayers before the IRS, helping clients with life’s financial decisions, and personal investing.
Elizabeth Logan, EA – Treasurer: [ Details ]
Beth has a tax practice and consulting company in Chelmsford. She focuses on helping individuals and small businesses. She teaches tax classes to lay persons at Roudenbush Community Center. In the lulls between tax seasons, she researches tax topics including attending BitCoin conferences, dialoguing with EAs in states with medical marijuana, discussing annuities with financial planners, and much more. Her other work time is spent helping small businesses grow as a management consultant and advising on financial decisions which can impact their taxes. She has an MBA from the University of Maryland and two engineering degrees from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Dean has been an Enrolled Agent since 1996 and has been preparing income tax returns since 1983 when he started at Boston Safe Deposit and Trust. Over the years, as he has lived around the country, he has been a past member of CASEA, AZSEA, and COSEA where he is a past president. Dean is a former Liberty Tax Service franchisee; formerly employed by H and R Block as an office manager (client service leader.) He now has his own tax practice, A and M Income Tax Service, located in Natick, MA. Dean also teaches Part 2 of the SEE course each summer.

Gabrielle Rene earned her MBA at Curry college and owns and operates Grene Enterprises, a Tax and Financial Planning practice. She holds series 7, 66 and Life & Health insurance incenses and is an independent Registered Representative with Transamerica Financial Advisors, Inc and World Group Securities. Ms. Rene has been working with families and small business owners for over a decade. Her mission is to help every family and individual become financial independent through proper money management, investments and small business ownership.

Paul has prepared tax returns and advised on individual tax concerns for H&R Block since 2006. Paul earned his undergraduate degree at Washington University, in St Louis, MBA degree from The George Washington University, and Graduate Accounting Certificate from Bentley University. Since becoming an EA and joining the MASEA in 2011, Paul has become a member of the MASEA leadership committee and been elected to serve as a Board Director. In addition to his focus on taxation, Paul has worked as a Financial Analyst at Unidine Corporation and Marketing Specialist at Fidelity Investments. Paul’s current goals are to expand his taxation skill set to include small businesses, and provide guidance to those considering a taxation career path.

Joyce Mohr, EA is the owner of Taxes Plus, a tax preparation and consulting business in Tewksbury. She is a graduate of Boston University. She began her career in tax by managing a retail tax office for a major US tax preparation company where she also taught continuing education classes to tax preparers in areas including: international, rental and depreciation. Currently she teaches Part II of the Special Enrolled Agent Test Preparation course through MaSEA and is a seasonal software quality assurance analyst for a do-it-yourself tax preparation product. She has been an enrolled agent and a member of MaSEA since 2007. In 2013 she was honored with the MaSEA Enrolled Agent of the Year award. She served on the nominating committee (2012 & 2013) of the National Association of Enrolled Agents. She has co-founded “Acacia in Kenya” an outreach project that partners with community leaders in Mumias, Western Kenya to care for and educate the community’s high school girls.
